Refund policy
*Returns are for an in-store credit only* We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. (No signs of smoke odor or pet hair) You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at shopthetailgateboutique@gmail.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. The cost of shipping the new item back to you can be deducted from the store credit if that's what the customer prefers.
All shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items. THIS INCLUDES ANY SALES IN RESULT OF A MAJOR HOLIDAY SUCH A BLACK FRIDAY!
Exchanges
If you are in the need of an exchange for a different size, color, etc. Please email Shopthetailgateboutique@gmail.com with a brief explanation of the issue and the new size, color, etc. you are needing.
If we have the new item in stock we will hold that item while the original is in transit. (The new item will not officially be on hold until we receive a tracking number to prove the original has been shipped.) Once the original is received and meets all the criteria mentioned in the return policy (Same package, tags still attaches, original packaging) we will ship the new item out to you. *Shipping is at the expense of the purchaser*
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
